Triclosan + triclocarban are antibacterial and antifungal chemicals.

Triclosan + triclocarban found in consumer and personal care products such as toothpaste, soaps, detergents, etc. The use of triclosan + triclocarban have been linked to abnormal endocrine system/thyroid hormone signaling and environmental persistence. Exposing children to these ingredients increases the chance of developing allergies, asthma, and eczema.

WHERE THEY’RE BANNED OR RESTRICTED

Both triclosan + triclocarban were banned from soaps and body washes in the United States in 2016, however they can still be found in other personal care products.
